First Line

Welcome to Gallands Blog!

There is no real purpose of this blog, besides the will to share some of my thoughts and feelings about a hobby, a passion and a past time activity.

I collect 1/6 scale action figures, in other words, dolls. The main focus of my collection are WWII and some Sci-Fi, like Star Wars. This also, naturaly, reflect some of my main interests.

I am an avid WWII buff, and I love, and I mean love, Star Wars. One could say that they go hand in hand, my interests, since I grow up with the first Star Wars movies, and my family consisted of many WWII veterans, wich naturaly gave me an insight and some understanding to what happend on the "other" side of the war. My relatives (most of them) fought for the German side during the war.

I like tanks, and especially german tanks. The Panzer Divisions of the german army were groundbreaking and extremely effective, with a fantastic and outstanding performance, often hopelessly outnumbered. They were also very smartly dressed, with fantastic and beutifully crafted black uniforms. I am interested in both Heer (army) and Waffen SS (armed fighting force of the SS) armoured units.
